The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is accepting lottery hunt applications for physically challenged hunters wishing to participate in deer hunts to be held on Floy Ward McElroy and Sabine Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) as well as a physically challenged waterfowl hunt to be held on Russell Sage WMA for the 2016-17 hunting season.
These hunts offer the opportunity for selected hunters to experience an enjoyable, high-quality experience on these WMAs.
The hunts are restricted to physically challenged hunters. The Sabine WMA deer hunt is open to all qualified, physically challenged persons and applicants will be screened by the Hunters Enriching Lives of People (HELP) organization to determine eligibility.
The Floy Ward McElroy WMA deer hunt is limited to wheelchair confined, Physically Challenged Hunter Permit (PCHP) holders only. The Russell Sage WMA waterfowl hunt is limited to wheelchair confined PCHP permit holders only.

Successful applicants will be selected by a random computer drawing. Applications for the lottery must be submitted to LDWF by the deadline listed on the application. A $5 administrative fee must be submitted with each application.
