Continuing flooding on Richard K. Yancey Wildlife Management Area (WMA) has forced additional roads to be closed, including Sunk Lake Road, Wycoff Road, Silver Lake Road and Hunt Road, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced.

Roads that remain closed include Hogpen Road, Blount Road, Lac A Sostien Road, Ross Road, Lincecum Road, Jacks Bayou Road, Union Point Road, Blackhawk Road and boat launch, and Dobbs Bay Road.

Increasing water levels in associated river systems and heavy rainfall have caused flooding on these roads. Once the water recedes, LDWF will inspect, repair and reopen them when deemed safe for travel.
