The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has closed additional roads to vehicle traffic at the Grassy Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA) due to flooding, including the North Bayou Natchitoches Road to Red River Bay and the portion of the South Bayou Natchitoches Road from the concrete bridge to Smith Bay. Cas Cas Road remains closed.

Only South Bayou Natchitoches Road from the entrance to the concrete bridge is open at this time.

Increasing water levels in associated river systems and heavy rainfall have caused flooding on these roads. Once the water recedes, LDWF will inspect, repair and reopen them when deemed safe for travel.

Grassy Lake WMA is located in northeastern Avoyelles Parish, approximately 12 miles from Bordelonville.
