The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has re-opened the following roads in the Richard K. Yancey Wildlife Management Area (WMA), including Sunk Lake, Lac a Sostein, Blount, Ross, Union Point, Hunt, Moreau Lake, Hooper and Catfish Bayou roads.

Jacks Bayou, Blackhawk and Dobbs Bay roads remain closed due to flooding. The Blackhawk Boat Launch also remains closed at this time. In addition, all trails on the WMA remain closed. Once flood water recedes, LDWF will inspect, repair and reopen these roads and trails.

Richard K. Yancey WMA is located approximately 35 miles south of Ferriday on Louisiana Highway 15 in lower Concordia Parish.
