The Louisiana Trappers and Alligator Hunters Association’s 2017 convention will be held Saturday (April 8) at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries’ (LDWF) Outdoor Education Facility in Woodworth.
 
The convention begins at 8 a.m. and runs through 4 p.m. Anyone interested in trapping or alligator hunting is invited to attend.
 
Demonstrations in skinning and trapping will be held along with silent and live auctions and activities for children, including a fun jump.
 
To get to the LDWF Outdoor Education Facility, located at 661 Robinson Bridge Road in Woodworth, take exit 73 from I-49 and proceed west on Robinson Bridge Road approximately two miles.

10:15 a.m.: Gray fox trapping, Tony Howard
11 a.m.: Trap setting contest
Noon: Lunch (available on premises)
12:30 p.m.: General meeting and vote for board members
1 p.m.: Board meeting and seating of officers
1 p.m.: Youth speed race
2 p.m.: Silent auction ends
2:30 p.m.: Live auction begins
4 p.m.: NAFA truck pick-up and clean up
