At Thursday’s Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission meeting, the Special Bait Dealer’s Notice of Intent (NOI) was amended to prohibit vessels from selling bait within 3/4 of a mile of any land-based facility unless there’s an agreement between the land-based facility and vessel selling live bait.

LDWF will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendment on December 22, at 10 am in the Joe L. Herring Louisiana Room at LDWF headquarters in Baton Rouge, 2000 Quail Drive.
