The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries wants to inform the public that the Louisiana Outdoors Forever grant program can still receive pre-applications, despite the network issues we are experiencing.
The pre-application window for Louisiana Outdoors Forever projects is closing tomorrow at 11:59 p.m., May 19, 2023.
Louisiana Outdoors Forever is intended to serve as a matching source for other funding. This program was designed to help Louisiana projects be more competitive by providing additional funding or match to maximize other grant applications. These projects expand the footprint of conservation in the state, restore value habitat, provide for land management, and enhance public access.
The Louisiana Outdoors Forever Program was established with the passage of House Bill 762 during the 2022 Legislative Session. House Bill 406 provided $10 million in funding for the program’s first year.
