The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Hunter Education Program will hold an introductory hunting course titled Squirrel 101 at Waddill Wildlife Refuge in Baton Rouge on Saturday (Sept. 16) from 9 a.m.-noon. The refuge is located at 4142 North Flannery Road in Baton Rouge.

The course will cover the basics of squirrel hunting, including equipment requirements, regulations, where to hunt, scouting, game cleaning and more.

The course is free, however, space is limited and those interested in attending must preregister. To register, go to
