The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has cancelled all lottery waterfowl hunts on the South Farm unit of Sherburne Wildlife Management Area (WMA) due to extensive flooding of the site.
Increasing water levels in associated river systems have caused backwater flooding to depths creating safety concerns for any planned operations.
Sherburne WMA South Farm is located in Iberville Parish approximately one mile north of Ramah.
