The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has completed the replacement of the Yakey Road bridge over Bayou Cocodrie at the Richard K. Yancey Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and reopened the span to light vehicular traffic.
 
Yakey Road provides access to WMA users from Louisiana Hwy. 15 to Blount Road on the northern end of Richard K. Yancey WMA.
